MARCINPATER

Marcin Pater is a vibraphonist and composer. He graduated from the Jazz Department of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, where he studied vibraphone and marimba, and from the Doctoral School of the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków.

He studied under Bernard Maseli and later continued his education at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, working under the guidance of Slovak vibraphonist Miro Herák.

He has received awards at national and international jazz and vibraphone competitions, including the Novum Jazz Festival, International Percussion Festival, Days of Percussion and the International Jazz Improvisation Competition. In 2021 he received the Jazz Melomani Grand Prix — the “Jazz Oscar” — in the Hope of the Jazz Fans category. He is also a Grand Prix winner of Jazz Juniors, Jazz nad Odrą, Sibiu Jazz Festival and RCK Pro Jazz Festival.

He has collaborated with artists including Leszek Możdżer, Paulina Przybysz, Marika, Piotr Schmidt, Wojciech Myrczek, Paweł Kaczmarczyk, Carlo Morena, Bence Vas, Petr Ishvin, Natalya Skvorstova, Victor Shestak and Arkadiusz Skolik.
